Friends of Scouting (FOS) is an annual, council-wide presentation conducted in every pack, troop, crew, team or post between the months of January and April.  The Family FOS Campaign asks parents and families to consider financially supporting the Scouting program in an effort to offset the cost of providing Scouting to their child.

100% of funds collected through the FOS Campaign stays in Old Colony Council to support:  Camp Squanto, Scout Service Center, Camperships, Cub Summer Camp, Leadership Training, Program Support, and Professional Develop for OCC Staff.

$205/youth/year is the true cost of delivering a quality Scouting Program to the 8,300 scouts in the Old Colony Council.  Annual registration fees go directly to the National Office and scout units, none is retained by Council.  The annual $205/youth goal for Old Colony Council goes beyond the annual registration fee and keeps quality services and programs close to home to benefit all scouts in our Council.

86% of FOS funds go to Program Support, Camping & Activites

8% of FOS funds go to Administrative Support

6% of FOS funds go to Fundraising

Friends of Scouting is an annual presentation that provides the most direct impact to the quality of the scouting experience for scouts, leaders, families and the community.  Thank you for your support.
